As we draw the curtains on the year 2025, we arrive at a moment that invites both reflection and renewed resolve. The past twelve months have been defined by purposeful action, deeper professional engagement, and a collective commitment to excellence that truly reflects the strength of our fraternity. In an era marked by constant change and heightened expectations, Chartered Accountants have continued to stand tall—adapting swiftly, leading responsibly, and contributing meaningfully to economic and institutional growth.

The enduring wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita reminds us:
“Yogaḥ karmasu kauśalam” — Excellence in action is true yoga.
This principle has remained the cornerstone of our professional journey, inspiring us to uphold the highest standards of integrity, competence, and public trust while embracing innovation and lifelong learning.

What makes our fraternity truly exceptional is not merely technical expertise, but the spirit of collaboration, mentorship, and service that binds us together. Across practice, industry, academia, and public service, our members have demonstrated remarkable resilience and leadership—guiding businesses through complexity, mentoring young professionals, and contributing to nation-building with quiet confidence. At WIRC, our endeavour has been to continuously create platforms that empower members to learn, connect, and grow, while fostering pride in the profession we represent.

In this spirit, WIRC witnessed an exceptionally vibrant month of professional engagement. November commenced with a Seminar on Auditing Standards and was further enriched by the inauguration of Accounting Museums at Ahmedabad and the D. P. Campus—significant milestones in our ongoing effort to preserve and celebrate India’s rich accounting heritage. Members benefited from a wide spectrum of high-impact programmes including Mastering GST Litigation, industry-specific Internal Audit modules, a Two-Day National Conference on Capital Markets, and specialised sessions on System Audit, Labour Laws, and Transfer Pricing.

Our outreach across branches at Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Jalgaon, Surat, Satara, Pune, Dhule, Malegaon, and other locations strengthened regional connect and professional camaraderie. The inauguration of Accounting Museums at leading educational institutions across these centres added a meaningful academic dimension to our outreach. A special highlight was the Mega Blood Donation and Health Check-Up Camp, reflecting our collective commitment to social responsibility. Flagship initiatives such as CFO Conclave 2025, the dynamic One-Day Startup Conclave, and the inspiring CA Next mentoring programme further enriched the professional ecosystem.

A proud and historic moment for the profession was achieved on 27th November, when ICAI created a Guinness World Record by conducting the largest single-day career counselling programme under CAFY 4.0, guiding 6,166 students. This remarkable achievement reaffirms our shared responsibility in shaping the future of the profession and inspiring the next generation of Chartered Accountants.

Members also derived immense value from Samvad Vishwas Ka help desks covering Direct Tax, MahaRERA, and GST, alongside advanced programmes on actuarial accounting, firm networking and mergers, fintech audits, and tribunal-oriented GST 2.0 sessions. The month concluded with focused study group meetings across BFSI, RERA, and Accounting Standards, reinforcing our commitment to continuous learning and peer exchange.

As we approach one of the most anticipated professional gatherings of the year, I earnestly invite all members to register for the 39th Regional Conference of WIRC of ICAI, to be held at Mumbai. Anchored around the inspiring theme “ज्ञान शिखर – Summit of Knowledge & Excellence”, the Conference promises two intellectually enriching days featuring eminent speakers, insightful panel discussions, and focused breakout sessions spanning taxation, audit, finance, capital markets, technology, startups, and leadership. This flagship event offers a powerful platform for learning, networking, and professional rejuvenation.
