Cultivating Excellence, Elevating Horizons through ZENITH
Dear Professional Colleagues,
“Wisdom is not a product of schooling but of the lifelong attempt to acquire it.” – Albert Einstein
Albert Einstein’s words remind us that true wisdom extends beyond formal education. It is a continuous journey of curiosity, learning, and self-reflection throughout life. Schooling provides a foundation, but experience, resilience, and the pursuit of knowledge ultimately shape true understanding. Lifelong learning remains central to personal and professional growth.
At WIRC, our focus continues to be on continuous learning, professional growth, and student empowerment. In recent months, we successfully organized the CA Intermediate and Final Mock Test Series, a two-day program on Concurrent Audit of Banks, a session on Investing in Capital Markets, and a joint seminar with IIM Ahmedabad. These initiatives have enriched knowledge, sharpened skills, and created platforms for interaction with industry experts.
This month, WICASA, in collaboration with the Rajkot Branch as host, successfully organized the Gyan Sanchar Mela. The program comprised a series of hybrid workshops covering GST, Internal Audit, Income Tax, Share Market Accounting, and Tax Audit, delivered by experienced faculty. Students gained valuable practical exposure, bridging the gap between academics and professional practice. The initiative concluded with an interactive quiz competition and certificate distribution, receiving active participation and enthusiasm from students, making it a memorable and impactful learning experience.
The Mumbai City Level Instrumental Music and Drama Competitions for CA students were held at ICAI Tower during the month, providing an excellent platform to showcase creativity, cultural talent, and artistic expression alongside academics. These events encouraged teamwork, confidence, discipline, and holistic growth, demonstrating the balance between professional learning and extracurricular excellence and truly enriching the overall student experience.
The two-day Income Tax Seminar for CA students was conducted at ICAI Tower, BKC, Mumbai, in hybrid mode. The sessions covered heads of income, practical compliances, international taxation, litigations, tax planning, and even AI applications in taxation. With expert faculty guiding each session, the seminar offered practical insights, bridging academics with evolving professional requirements.
The Industrial Trainee Placement Program provided CA students with a structured platform to engage with top corporates. The event featured interviews, pre-placement talks, and networking sessions. It successfully facilitated meaningful connections between candidates and recruiters, offering valuable industrial training opportunities and significantly enhancing students’ professional development.
The Gyan Yagna: Enhance Half-Day Seminar, hosted by the Vadodara Branch of WICASA, offered valuable insights into Private Equity, Venture Capital, Startups, and Fundraising. The event featured expert-led sessions and an interactive quiz competition. With both physical and virtual participation options, it proved to be an enriching experience for CA students, focused on expanding knowledge beyond academic boundaries.
Looking ahead, we are preparing for the National Conference, which will bring together students from across the country. With sessions covering technical, motivational, and leadership themes, it will be a celebration of knowledge, dialogue, and unity. Our placement initiatives, Gyan Yagna, and Samvaad Gurukulam sessions will continue to provide students with guidance, mentorship, and career opportunities.
Students, the journey of becoming a Chartered Accountant is both challenging and rewarding. WIRC and WICASA are here to equip you with the wings to soar, but the determination and effort must come from you. The future belongs to those who embrace it with discipline, passion, and resilience.
Warm regards,
CA Ketan Saiya
