Message from WIRC Chairman's Desk

“Great things are not done by impulse, but by a series of small things brought together.”

Dear Students,

September marked a month of impactful learning, enthusiastic participation, and purposeful growth, with every initiative echoing the values of perseverance, discipline, and collaboration that define the CA journey. The Western India Regional Council remains committed to shaping not only academically proficient students but also ethically grounded, confident, and well-rounded future professionals.

WICASA of WIRC hosted a special Teachers’ Day celebration honouring the guiding mentors of the CA profession, featuring an inspiring address by the President of ICAI. The program also included a seminar on technique-based communicative English, enhancing students’ communication abilities and reinforcing ICAI’s dedication to holistic professional growth and excellence.

The month brought together a diverse range of programs aimed at enhancing technical knowledge, professional competence, and personal development. The National Talent Search Regional level Competitions encouraged healthy competition and creativity among students, while the Deal Makers’ Playbook offered valuable insights into negotiation and financial strategy, bridging academic learning with practical perspective.

We organised a Coastal Clean-Up Drive at Juhu Beach as part of our sustainability initiative. Students and volunteers actively participated, contributing to environmental responsibility and community welfare. This initiative reflects our commitment to shaping socially conscious future professionals who uphold values of civic duty, sustainability, and collective action. On the academic front, a seminar on GST reforms empowered students to stay updated with the latest changes and sharpen their understanding of evolving tax regulations. Participants gained practical insights to stay compliant and future-ready in a dynamic tax ecosystem.

AURA, a two-day AI workshop, equipped CA students with practical knowledge of AI tools, ethical use, and smart financial review techniques. Participants explored real-world applications, boosting future-ready skills for the evolving finance profession. Motivational sessions like “Be the Winner” encouraged self-belief and perseverance.

The WOW Bookies Club hosted a vibrant meet-up at BKC, promoting book exchange and meaningful discussions. Students connected over literature, ideas, and learning, encouraging reading culture and mindful knowledge sharing.

As we look ahead, excitement builds for the National Conference, WICASA’s flagship student event, to be held in December. This grand platform will bring together young minds from across the nation to present ideas, share experiences, and engage with thought leaders an inspiring celebration of knowledge, leadership, and professional growth.

Each activity in September reaffirmed WICASA’s guiding pillars of academic excellence, professional empowerment, and holistic development. Together, these initiatives continue to strengthen the foundation of a vibrant and forward-looking CA student community.

Let us carry this momentum forward, embracing every opportunity to learn, lead, and grow with sincerity and purpose.

Warm regards,
CA Ketan Saiya
Chairman, WIRC
